Welcome to the Virginia Blockchain Council
We’re a 501(c)(6) nonprofit, non-partisan organization dedicated to three pillars—Advocacy, Community, and Education—for blockchain and Web3 in the Commonwealth. Backed by 1,400 + members statewide, we connect startups, developers, enterprise leaders, and policymakers to:
- Advocate smart, pro-growth laws at the General Assembly and in Congress.
- Build community through meetups, demo days, and working groups that turn ideas into proof-of-concepts.
- Educate the public and decision-makers with workshops, white papers, and hands-on training.
As a founding member of the U.S. Blockchain States Coalition—a federation of 40 + state councils—we bring Virginia’s voice to the national stage while helping local innovators stay ahead of the curve. Join us to keep the Commonwealth competitive and make blockchain work for every Virginian.
